About MAGE by NGA

MAGE by NGA is a mobile situational awareness app that turns your device into a field intelligence tool. Designed for first responders, field teams, and emergency personnel, this app lets you capture geotagged observations in real time and share them instantly with your team.

Create comprehensive field reports on the fly. Add photos, videos, and voice recordings to document conditions, hazards, and observations as they happen. Your device's GPS automatically records your location, and you control exactly who sees it—your team members only. Every report is timestamped and geotagged, giving your team a clear picture of the situation as it unfolds.

Stay connected even when you're offline. If your mobile device loses network coverage, the app keeps working. Your local reports, location data, and observations are stored on your device and automatically sync to your team's server the moment connectivity returns. You never lose critical information, and your team always has the latest updates once you're back online.

Access geospatial data without relying on internet. Map tiles and vector data layers can be downloaded to your device in advance, so you have reliable geographic information available even in areas with no network signal. This means your team can navigate and understand the terrain with confidence, whether you're in a disaster zone, remote area, or infrastructure-challenged location. The app uses your local data to keep providing relevant geospatial context to all team members.

Customize the app for your team's specific needs. Different agencies and response teams have different requirements, and this app adapts to yours. Your managing entity can configure layers, data fields, and workflows to match your operational procedures.

This application is released by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to maximize the impact of government investments in unclassified mobile solutions. To use MAGE by NGA, you'll need access to your agency's or managing entity's server—the app operates as a client to your organization's deployment, giving you full control over data security and team access.
